SCULPTRA

Sculptra is a bio-stimulatory treatment made of Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA). Sculptra works by addressing the underlying cause of aging which is collagen loss.

Sculptra helps restore your skin's foundation by stimulating your natural collagen production to firm and smooth the skin.

Replacing the lost collagen helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hollow areas, and bony areas on the face. Sculptra is often used to correct smile lines, marionette lines, wrinkles on the chin, and hollow temples.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE?

Sculptra is recommended for adults that are in good health that have concerns for volume loss in certain areas of their face. This will reduce signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines. This treatment is also meant to fill hollow areas of the face that are present due to fat loss. Sculptra is ideal if you are looking for gradual, subtle, and natural results.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

We first start with an initial consultation to assess your goals and concerns. Everyone's treatment plan looks different and the number of vials used can range from person to person.

Multiple sessions are needed to get the best results. For most patients to achieve the best results, it is recommended to receive 2-3 treatments with at least a 4-6 week rest period in between. This allows the body’s collagen production to become visible.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?

After your Sculptra treatment, some patients may experience swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. It is important to massage the treated areas to evenly disperse the product. The rule of 5's is to massage 5 times a day, for 5 minutes, for 5 days.

Immediately after treatment, you may notice the areas treated may appear more plump. This is a combination of the poly-L-lactic acid, sterile water, and swelling. This will diminish a few days after your injections. Your final and youthful results will gradually become visible in the following weeks of your Sculptra treatment.
